MobileMe Apple’s Sync Heaven
The introduction of apple of the MobileMe Platform allowed subscribers to send their mobile data that is uploaded into the Apple servers where they are synced at their desktop when they return home. People on the go have the ability to upload all contents of their iPhone which is then sent to their desktop effectively having an online back-up that is in the clouds. The data center stores all of your contacts, photos, videos and other information (contacts) which the subscriber can then send into their Macs as they get home.
This is one of the best examples of cloud data storage as well as Google’s Apps which all reside in the cloud, another term to describe their data centers which is then paid for by subscribers depending on their usage rather than have to face implementing their own server-client installation saving in cost and leaving the industry giants who already have the necessary hardware installed and set-up. This is the next step for the web applications where the application and information they use all subsist in their data centers and having small bits only within their mobile devices saving space, which are then called upon only when needed.
