Hackers Shoot Down Comcast

We all know that hackers have their share of trying to prove their greatness and it comes in the form of giving problems and headaches towards big companies such as Comcast. Apparently this is not something new anymore but if word gets out, you may have a big problem in the form of customers in your hand.

This will surely question the ability of Comcast personnel on their ability to handle such security breaches. If Comcast knows any better, it should do something about it.

Some Comcast customers are complaining that they still cannot access their e-mail even after the company says it has fixed a problem caused by a hacker who got into their site.

Amazon Adjusts to Consumer Needs

If you talk about web services, Amazon is sure to be included among the top vendors when you talk about online selling options for the trendy people of today. Apparently the demand overshot the what Amazon had earlier expected and thus the need to further simplify things in the form of grouping and categorizing items up for grabs has become a need for them today.

Third-party sellers account for 30 percent of the units sold on Amazon, Bezos said.

The amount of bandwidth used by Amazon Web Services, which includes cloud computing and server storage space, recently surpassed the bandwidth used for its retail business, he said.

Watch out for More Services Online

With recession as an obvious reason, don’t be surprised to see existing and new companies to further take advantage of this happening as most people are expected to be online rather than out in the streets. The thought of having telecommute people today logically points towards more users online and majority of the market are sure to be penetrated via the cyber world.

So if at the moment if you receive strange messages from varied origins, do not be surprised. That is just the tip of the iceberg. Expect this to swell especially if telecommute becomes a reality which seemingly looks like it.

Services That May be Too Good to be True

If you are frequenting the web, then you will notice that a lot of the services offered seem to good to be true. In the initial phases, you will notice no price or cost for the services to be rendered. But if you look a little bit more, you may start thinking of the catch.

Normally there is. But the thing is, you either let them get your attention or find our through word of mouth. Or if you are really in doubt, just disregard them. If this is the case, how can you effectively secure customers on the web if your strategy seems to be sinking?

It is a fact that most businessmen today will go at anything to make sure that their services gets the proper attention. But if they come via email, would you try them out?

This is perhaps a problem for most consumers. How can you differentiate a real one from a scam? It is no secret that most people would do anything, even mischief by email today. Government encourages use of web services

The US local governments are encouraging residents to help cut on CO2 emissions by using council web services instead. How? Well, the answer is quite logical. Instead of using transportation, whether public or private, residents with internet access to make use of the services offered in the government web sites and therefore saving the planet from �millions of air miles in carbon emissions.�

The Department of Communities and Local Government commissioned environmental specialists Best Foot Forward to conduct an independent study report.

The report states that city councils could save 80,000 kg of CO2 each year or 14,000 tons of CO2 nationally. Not only that, online services turn out to be more cost efficient. Staff time is used wisely and resources and supplies such as paper are also saved.

New Salesforce.com service and its Facebook-like feature

Is anybody here familiar with Salesforce.com? It�s a company that offers CRM or customer relationship management services. It does everything from sales force automation to partner relationship management, marketing, and customer service.

Well, this enterprise recently launched a feature in its Web site. It lets users share data with partners much like how it happens in Facebook. Salesforce.com wants business partners to connect and link-up information without the bother of integrating an application. It also enables Salesforce partners to distribute and exchange leads, and custom objects with partners, employees, resellers, distributors, suppliers and anyone else can be included in the network if the user pleases.

Dell, which has signed a major deal with Salesforce.com is the technology behind this.
